Harlequin Macaw
$ 1,695 WEANED  One of the first hybrids to appear in the pet market, the Harlequin is usually a very large Macaw. It is obtained by breeding a Blue and Gold Macaw to a Green Wing Macaw. Their bright orange/red featheration is stunning.
Harlequins are often VERY large Macaws and need to have a well made, very large
cage in order to properly house them.
Be prepared with a large toy budget as well. Toys are not just fun, they are mandatory
for a bird's proper care.
Feed this Macaw a pelleted diet, a high quality seed/nut mixture and lots of fresh foods.
Veggies, fruit, pasta, rice, well cooked chicken, eggs, fish. Variety is the healthiest for
most birds.
