Green-Cheeked Conure
Native to Brazil, Bolivia and Argentina, these compact little Conures make quiet, loving pets. They enjoy being out of the cage and with their people and can usually learn to speak fairly well.
Cage requirements for a Green Cheek are easy. They do not require a large cage, just be cautious of the bar spacing so that it is not too wide for them. 22" x 24" with 5/8" or 3/4" bar spacing is recommended. Shredder toys will be appreciated, those that have string, small beads, etc. on them.
A healthy diet of pellets, some nuts and seeds, fresh vegetables and fruit, all will be enjoyed by this little power house.
